Dr. Michael Lawrence founded Asthma & Allergy Physicians in 1972 with a vision of providing exceptional, evidence-based care to patients with asthma, allergies, and immune disorders. For more than five decades, he has dedicated his career to the specialty and to the patients and families of the communities we serve. His extensive clinical experience has been complemented by years of involvement in clinical research, including previously serving as Principal Investigator for the practice’s Center for Clinical Research. Dr. Lawrence’s longstanding commitment to clinical excellence, scientific advancement, and compassionate patient care has helped shape Asthma & Allergy Physicians into the practice it is today. He has also been recognized by the Global Directory of Who’s Who as a Lifetime Top Doctor.

Dr. Ralph Cahaly is a board certified allergist. He treats a broad range of conditions including allergy, asthma, skin allergies, immune deficiency, and mast cell disorders. He has a particular interest however in food allergy and oral immunotherapy and is dedicated to helping patients expand their treatment options through evidence based care. By combining clinical expertise with a patient-centered approach, he helps individuals and families navigate the challenges of living with food allergies.

Dr. Mark T. Claus graduated summa cum laude with honors in physiology, nutrition, and epidemiology. Known for his commitment to clinical excellence and academic achievement, he has been honored as a two-time grant recipient by the American College of Allergists, recognizing his dedication to advancing allergy and immunology care.

Gloria Iheuwa, a certified nurse practitioner, brings specialized training in family nursing and mental health. Her broad clinical expertise allows her to provide comprehensive care that addresses the unique needs of each patient and family. Dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care, Gloria focuses on educating patients, promoting preventive health, and helping individuals achieve the best possible outcomes through personalized treatment plans.

Darlene Madore is a graduate of Northeastern University and a certified nurse practitioner. She is well-versed in current treatment options, including biologic therapy, immune-deficient disorders and hereditary angioedema. She is a local and national speaker for primary immune deficiency, asthma and atopic dermatitis, as well as administration boards for food allergies and hereditary angioedema. She is well-versed in her holistic approach to caring for both pediatric and adult patients.

Carolyn Rooney is a nurse practitioner and member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She specializes in allergic contact dermatitis and is dedicated to helping patients identify and manage the triggers behind their skin reactions. With expertise in evaluating complex skin allergies, including patch testing and personalized treatment plans, she helps patients find lasting relief and improve their quality of life.

Leslie Stefanowicz is a nationally recognized nurse practitioner in allergy, asthma, and immunology, specializing in complex diagnoses for pediatric and adult patients. In addition to providing expert patient care, she lectures nationally and mentors healthcare professionals, advancing excellence in the field. She is a member of the American Contact Dermatitis Society, American College of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology, and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
